Silly me for not knowing everything. My agent did not mention a closing walk through, and I didn't know that's a thing, so I discovered some messes (see pictures) upon moving in. My agent came in and dealt with the fridge and then I found the onions. I was told "Kate has gone above her duty of service in cleaning the refrigerator out for you, as she gave you an extreme discount to do paperwork for this transaction." and "Everyone's clean is different". I appreciate the effort to make it right for me after the transaction, but I don't agree with the owner's words. One, I don't think a discount (I paid $1500) makes a missed step in the house purchasing process an OK mistake; Two, I see the agent cleaning the messes as a way of making things right, not going above and beyond. My contract has a clause about cleaning and move-in conditions. If I did a final walk through, I would not have closed because this level of cleaning does not meet the contract stated standards. Lots of cleaning awaits me, I will comfort myself with the knowledge of received discount.

Responding to the owner below: I paid for the cleaning company myself for $120. Seller is out of states and their is no Seller agent. Your company charged me for bother seller and buyer commission hence the $1500 fee (should be $300 if only acting as buyer agent, I bought the other side of duplex a couple of months ago, I know).
