Early July brought my mother and I to the Loom Room France to learn how to weave, and it was wonderful. Stacey is such a thoughtful, patient, knowledgable, and encouraging educator, and it was so lovely to learn how to weave with her. Stacey started us off with pre-warped looms to explore and play, and gain comfort with the weaving process. Once we finished those warps, Stacey then guided us in identifying and creating subsequent weaving projects which included selecting appropriate yarns, preparing to weave, warping looms, and weaving. All of this was done with Stacey’s thoughtful support, and encouragement to play and explore in an effort to better understand and expand our learning of the weaving process. During the week we stayed with Stacey and Graham (her husband) in their beautiful home. All of the meals provided were outstanding! To break up the week of weaving and see some of the nearby area, Stacey took the three of us who were there during the week, to do some sightseeing- seeing other nearby towns, galleries, and a visit to the Tuesday night market (delicious!) and Saturday market in nearby Nerac which was so lovely. A truly wonderful experience! Thank you so much Stacy and Graham for the warm welcome, thoughtful planning, and graciously hosting us for the week!

I spent a week with Stacey and all of her looms at the beginning of July 2023. The experience of the weaver's retreat was wonderful. Stacey is welcoming and kind. The atmosphere is relaxed. The food is great and Stacey takes students on various excursions in the area. I learned sectional warp beaming and used her lobby loom. And brought a piece of weaving home with me.

The hospitality of Stacey and Graham is beyond words. The weaving lessons have been very well planned to my needs and worked through with me so that I totally understand. I am going back home with much more knowledge and skills than I came with.
