My husband and I recently had our tintype portrait taken by Matthew. We could not be happier with the outcome and our overall experience. I had emailed Matthew a few months in advance because we were only going to be in town for one day and it was a completely seamless process getting an appointment booked. Matthew was super cool to hang out with and the portrait process was super laid back - he even answered all of our nerdy questions about to camera and the development. Will 100% make this a priority whenever we travel back to Phoenix. Can’t recommend this experience enough!

My mom and I traveled all the way from Wyoming to have our portraits done and I can't say enough about how great Matt and his studio was. Booking online was super easy, and the overall experience was great. A very unique way to capture a moment or commemorate an anniversary. Don’t think twice about getting a tintype at Silver & Cedar. This was such a unique and beautiful experience getting these photos done. I planned this with my sister and the results were nothing short of amazing. I don’t think anything compares to it so if you’re considering it, DO IT! Matt did a wonderful job explaining the entire process and was so easy to talk to. He’s a gem! PLUS: His partner Katie has a leather shop next door so that was great to check out and pick up some beautifully crafted work. I highly recommend this experience ?

I have been a big fan of Matthew Stella’s work and have followed the Silver And Cedar Instagram and Tik Tok accounts for a long time. My husband and I were in Arizona this past week for our elopement in Horseshoe Bend, and we made a point to pass through Phoenix on our way back home to Texas so we can experience the magic of the Silver And Cedar studio. Needless to say, it did not disappoint and I hope we can come back in the future for another session. Matthew is truly so cool and made us both feel so comfortable. 10/10 recommend!
