Mik has a vision as a photographer that is truly unique. He really cares about his subjects. He took portraits of my son that were creative and editorial. We received so many rave remarks about those photographs! My former husband was also a photographer and just said that Mik is probably one of the most gifted photographers he's ever seen. I totally agree. Not only that, you will never find someone who is more down-to-earth and calming in his approach to photographic direction.
Mik is also really honest in his business dealings. It is so rare to find someone in his industry that is non egotistical or greedy in his business approach. I really admire him.

For anyone looking for an event photographer in Los Angeles, Mik Milman is your guy. He did our engagement photos and will be doing the photography at our wedding. He made us feel comfortable even though I came into the session feeling the opposite. He is very talented and has quite the eye. As a plus size person looking at pictures isn't always great, but he was able to capture the beauty I'm always looking for.

Mik Milman is one of the best photographers I've worked with both for events and private shoots. He is down to earth, professional and very personable. He has photographed performances for me with difficult lighting and settings and handled it with ease and never got in the way of the production. I also trust him photographing my personal events with our eclectic BIPOC and LGBTQ+ group of family and friends. If you want one of the best event photographers in LA, he's your guy!

Not only is Mik an excellent photographer who is great at capturing authentic moments in still images, but he also a great teacher, and an intelligent and kind human being! I myself am an event photographer, and I have learned a great deal about the techniques that Mik uses in vast experience photographing events through his YouTube videos, one-on-one conversations, and masterclass-style critiques of my work. One thing I really appreciate about Mik's teaching style is that he doesn't impose "his way" of doing things, but rather takes an approach that encourages the student to incorporate some of the photographic "tools" into his or her own style and workflow. I highly recommend Mik as a photographer and teacher!
