Such a good surgeon! I saw a different doctor who told me to wait to see if a cyst on my thyroid would get bigger and come back in a year.
Doctor Thornton was so honest and straight to the point. He told me that I should get it out and that there is no point in waiting. I am glad I listened because of what it turned out to be. Now I should have nothing to worry about besides ultrasounds once a year and thyroid levels getting checked.
I am so thankful for Doctor Thornton! My scar looks amazing and recovery was exactly what he told me expect. Thank you!

First visit and I was very unhappy with the care I received. Left still having ear pain and never once looked at my ear. Went in for dizziness, vertigo and unsteadiness. Had a weird spell when I was driving and he said well hopefully it's a one time thing. Felt like I was falling but not scared me to death. Said he didn't really see anything wrong. I was so disappointed, such a waste of money. I'm going to my primary care Dr.
The only thing good about my experience was the ladies at the front desk when I checked in, they were so friendly

My son has had many ear problems his entire life. We were referred to Dr. Thornton a few years ago after his other Dr. Retired. We are so happy we chose him. My son had his last surgery in May. We had follow up today, best hearing test in his life. No more follow ups scheduled! He is GREAT! Love the entire office.

I had a tumor removed under my ear five months ago.
Surgery was smooth, recovery has been exactly as described and my scar is nearly visible! (Which is hard to believe because I sure looked like Frankenstein for a hot minute.)
I felt Dr. Thornton explained things well and asked if I had questions each visit.

My family met Dr. Parker Thornton when he took out my daughter's tonsils. I gave him a dirty look and asked him how many surgeries he had done. Our daughter was eighteen at the time, and she's forty now. The surgery went well. And we gained a lifelong ENT.

Dr. Thornton and his staff have treated me since 2010 for Meniere's Disease, and prior to that for tinnitus and other ear problems. Thanks to Christy and her precise hearing tests, they had a record to look at and catalog my hearing loss with Meniere's. His quick diagnosis helped my entire family find help for me with diet and chemicals in the body. Of course, he sent me on to a specialist at KU, where I waited in long lines and left laughing. Dr. Thornton already had me doing things to help retrain my brain and learn to live with this lifelong disease. I was sick and he made me well. He has been nothing but kind to me at our many, many appointments. I can never thank him enough for giving me my life back.

Shame on people that catch someone on a bad day and write a nasty review. What I read from angry people is not the truth about Dr. Thornton. He is a great doctor and a good man that loves his family and his work.

I got to visit him today for first time he listened to me and seemed to want to want to hear all I want to say concerning what is what I think is maybe connected to what is going on based on what my family medical history. He's a ent doctor but with my family history I need to make sure he was aware it's a possibility it's something serious and he was like yes we need to do something and today we biopsy in office to see what steps we need to take or what doctor I need to go to so I can get a bump taken off. I took my son to Dr. Thornton twice. The first time was because he had started getting sinus and ear infections at the age of 17 and the PCP recommended it. We sat in the waiting room for over an hour and a half Along with many other patients. When we finally got back, He talked over us, didn’t really listen, and finally ordered a CT and had us out of the room in literally two minutes. So I thought maybe things would be different at the next appointment because we were scheduled for 8am. I tried giving the benefit of the doubt that he was maybe rushed due to being so far behind. Then the office completely messed up the CT and it took longer to get that fixed. And when I called to deal with that, the office staff was very rude. Had the Ct, and the next appointment wasn’t any better. First thing we heard was him treating his office staff very poorly over a message that a provider left on the voicemail that she was trying to straighten out. Maybe that is why she is rude to the patients. He told us there was nothing to do and again was rude, didn’t listen, and shooed us out in just a couple of minutes without giving us any help. I would never go back or recommend anyone else saw this provider.

Pushes surgery when he knows its unlikely to help. The vast majority of sinus surgery he does, will not help the sinus pain Takes very little time to explain. He rushes through his exam. Rather than call you to tell you the results of x ray., he makes you come in and charges you for a second appointment. That could easily be done over the phone in 5 minutes. Regret going there. Was a waste of my time and the money insurance had to pay.
